Our mantra is simple: “Connecting people to expand humanity.” The Role We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, to architect and build the systems that power our network — scaling from thousands to millions of connected users. This isn't a feature factory. You'll design foundational systems where your code runs real infrastructure, shapes real cities, and directly impacts people's lives. What You'll Do Design, build, and scale core systems that operate our vertically integrated network — including provisioning, deployment orchestration, network intelligence, and customer lifecycle management (Ruby on Rails 8, PostgreSQL). Develop internal platforms and operational tooling that enable us to scale physical infrastructure with software-level efficiency. Collaborate with product, network operations, deployment, and leadership to translate real-world infrastructure challenges into elegant software systems. Contribute to key architectural decisions as we grow from thousands to millions of users. Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across our stack — where every optimization has real-world impact. Raise the engineering bar through mentorship, technical culture, and best practices. Operate with high ownership: engineers here solve hard problems end-to-end. What We're Looking For Engineers who want to build foundational systems — not just ship features. Strong problem-solving ability and deep curiosity about how systems work under the hood. Excellent software engineering fundamentals: system design, data modeling, and architecture. 5+ years of professional software development experience building and scaling production systems. Experience in high-growth or startup environments, where you owned outcomes, not just tasks. Ability to ramp up quickly in new technologies — Rails experience is a plus, not a requirement. Comparable backend experience in Python/Django, Elixir/Phoenix, Node.js, or similar stacks. Comfort thriving in a fast-moving, high-ownership, low-bureaucracy culture. Based in or willing to work aligned with Colombia time (Bogotá / Medellín preferred). Bonus Points Not required, but they'll make you stand out: Experience with DevOps, distributed systems, or infrastructure tooling. Exposure to networking, telecom, IoT, or hardware-integrated software systems. Track record building internal platforms or operational tooling at scale. Genuine interest in infrastructure, telecom, or software-defined physical systems.
